11/07/07: Alice can be seen in the BBC ONE documentary series,
Heroes and Villains, which will air in the UK on
               November 12 at 9pm. The program is an hour-long dramatization of Napolean's involvement in the
               1793 seige of Toulon. Alice will portray Napolean's ambitious mother, Letizia. Thanks for the info, Dave.


10/22/07:
Moonlighting Films in production on Skin. The film will also feature Sam Neill (Alice's co-star in Molokai: The
               story of Father Damien). I would assume Neill will play the part of Abraham Laing. More info below.

10/16/07: Alice's audition for the summer blockbuster,
Transformers, can be seen in a bonus feature on the film's dvd
               being released today (
source). Also, she and her husband will be in Cape Town, SA in October to work on their
               Caesar film project at Pollsmoor Prison. The film has been officially titled,
StringCaesar, and is being financed
               by the couple themselves. Articles are available

08/13/07: Alice will portray Sannie Laing in the upcoming film, Skin (2008). Skin is based on the non-fiction book, When
               She Was White, the true story of Sandra Laing...a black girl who was born to two white Afrikaner parents in
               South Africa during the apartheid era. Filming begins in September in Johannesburg, South Africa. You may

Skin site here. Surprisingly, this will be the first time during Alice's 28-year career in which
               she'll portray a South African.

05/12/07: Alice will be a guest at the
Vulkon: Ladies of Sci-fi Expo in Orlando, FL next weekend (May 18-20). Alice's film
              
The Contract, starring Morgan Freeeman and John Cusack, appears to be heading for a straight-to-dvd release
               on July 24th. Lonely Hearts will be released in the US on August 31st.

05/03/07:

10/23/06: An early
trailer for The Contract is available from the German site, 3L Filmverleih. It looks like the film may

09/17/06: Alice will portray
"Lady Russell" in a tv adaption of Jane Austen's Persuasion (online text) The film will be
               shown in England on ITV in 2007 as part of their Jane Austen season, and in the US on PBS'
Masterpiece
               Theatre
in November 2007 as part of the Jane Austen Festival. In addition, it seems that Alice had a small role
               in the horror film
Stay Alive (2006) as that of "the author" of a book about the witch in the film. Her cameo
               only appears in the director's cut version, however, not the theatrical release.

07/29/06: Alice will appear in the film
Ten Inch Hero (Spring 2007, official site, official blog).

06/27/06: Alice had a guest role on USA Network's,
The 4400 (episode, "Gone, Part 1") that aired 6/25/06 (images). Part 2

8/7/05:   Alice will co-star in
The Contract (2006), which will begin filming in and around Sofia, Bulgaria this week. The
              film stars Morgan Freeman and John Cusack, and is directed by Bruce Beresford (who directed Alice in 1985's
             
King David). The Contract is the story of a family outing that turns deadly when a father and son encounter a
              hired killer (Freeman). Early indications are that Alice's role is that of a high-level government official who
              turns out to be Freeman's boss.

7/19/05:  Alice will co-star as
"Janet" (Fay), in the film Lonely Hearts, which will be released in Dec. 2006. The film is
              based on the true story of serial killers Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez, who lured their victims
              through the personal ads in the late 1940s (
full plot). The film also stars John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Jared
              Leto, James Gandolfini and Laura Dern (who co-starred with Alice in
Haunted Summer - 1988).

6/7/05:   Alice will co-star as
"Christabella," in the horror film Silent Hill (based on the video game of the same name),
              which will be released April 21, 2006. The film is currently in production in Ontario, Canada. Check the

3/17/05:  Read about Alice's new, recurring guest role in the second season of the
HBO series Deadwood.

7/26/04:  Added a

              Alice Krige received an honorary doctorate in literature from Rhodes University on April 2, 2004. An article is

              Ms. Krige is currently working on producing a film about the life of Julius Caesar to be directed by her
              husband, Paul. The two have been developing the project since the 1980s, which is to feature primarily inmate
              actors, but will also include the likes of Sir Derek Jacobi. The project is being filmed in Wales, Canada and
              South Africa. You may find information and an interview with Ms. Krige about this project

As a result of her role as the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact, Ms. Krige has become somewhat of a regular on the Star Trek/Sci-fi convention circuit. She will be a featured guest at the following Star Trek/Sci-fi conventions:
