| Yes, I believe Alice was a last minute replacement and I hadn't taken it on board! I've been to a few of these conventions in the last four years. Not as a fan (though I do like the shows), but as a guest of the organizer. Since being the local movie theatre, I have some film goodies to bargain with! To get into this one I brought the actors crates of water and two posters of Serenity.Got two passes. Spent 50 pounds on stuff and saved 140 pounds on entrance fee! So not being an autograph hunter, just curious to see what famous American tv and film actors are doing 5 miles up the road from me, I went to see who was there. So to see Alice signing amongst Buffy actors was cool and strange! I had to get a late autograph for a member of staff at work, and had to see a steward who had helped at 11pm Sunday night. The convention did a closing party with all the actors attending earlier. It's then I noticed Alice watching the Disco. I'm guessing getting ready to leave. She was finishing talking to a couple and I asked her minder if I could say hello. And "Hello" she did! I said something on the lines of, "I just wanted to say hello, as you're my favorite Star Trek villain of all time!" She said, "thank you" and went on to say about a part that she could sink her teeth into and was a great role. I said I liked her Borg Queen character because I was taken in by how she assimilated worlds, and yet came across as a nice lady and was doing the galaxy a favor! Her reply simply..."That was the point!" It's only then I asked for a photo. She said I will get my assistant to do it for us. Hang on...me?! With you?!! I'm used to taking pictures with my digital camera I've had two years and coming back with none of me on! So for the cameraman to be in a pic with a guest was an honor! Very lovely lady indeed. It's at this point I said I was star struck and started blushing, but she said don't worry...she had to thank fans at closing ceremony knowing most didn't know who she was! So there you go. A bit of Alice news for ya! |
